C.H. ROBINSON ACQUIRES REFRIGERATED LTL COMPANY

   C.H. Robinson International Inc. has got Trans-Consolidated Inc., a 3rd birthday party logistics corporation focusing on refrigerated less-than-truckload products and services for the perishable meals business. Phrases of the deal weren’t disclosed.

   TCI, like C.H. Robinson, is non-asset-based. The corporate has contracts with greater than 400 carriers corporations and reduced in size chilly garage warehouses. Brooklyn Heart, Minn.-based TCI had revenues of about $24 million in 1999.

   Olivia M. Bradley, chairman of TCI, will retire following the purchase. Kenneth R. Jahr, president and leader government officer of TCI, will sign up for C.H. Robinson as supervisor of the brand new TCI/Robinson department workplace.

   C.H. Robinson, founded in Eden Prairie, Minn., expects revenues of about $3 billion in 2000.
